“Growing a new life is a wonderful privilege but it brings big physical changes to the mother’s body too! I specialise in assessment and treatment during the pre and postnatal stages to help you maintain maximum function, comfort and strength.”Louise Brown
You may be experiencing unfamiliar pain in your lower back, pelvis, hips and groin area either during or after pregnancy. Physiotherapy can diagnose and help treat these symptoms improving your quality of life during this stage.
I offer ‘New mum checks’ anytime after your 6 week GP check-up. This session involves a check of your tummy muscles for any separation, your pelvic floor for any weakness and assessment of your body’s posture, alignment and breathing control. This ensures you are ready to return to exercise and allows you time to discuss any concerns you may have.
You might not deem yourself a ‘new mum’ but you are aware that pregnancy and caring for a little one has changed your body! Taking some time to rehabilitate and correct some of those changes is a great investment into your future health.
